Alternative Ideas for Participating in Cookie Booths

Troops and parents can participate in the Cookie Program as much as they are comfortable. Participation in booths is optional. GSNCA will provide a Trefoil Tidbits in the weeks leading up to start of booths so they have the most current guidelines from the CDC, and our recommendations and options. Here are a few alternative ideas on how to participate in Booths during the Cookie Program:

Adding virtual booths is an option this year with the Troop Site Link. This is the perfect opportunity to share the GSNCA Troop Site Link to community groups and pages! The customers could request a porch drop off, arrange to meet a parent while respecting social distancing guidelines, or to pick up the order at a predetermined place, like a drive-thru booth!

A drive thru booth could help troops stay safe while hosting booths in their area. These work best in empty parking lots or grassy areas near high traffic roadways or intersections, or even set up at local parks – remember SAFETY FIRST! Troop Cookie Managers will need to speak to the property manager for permission to have a booth at their location.

Pop-up booths are another suggestion for Family Cookie Experiences! If you remember this process from last year, girls are able to have a booth with their families! Families can use a parking lot to attract customers and have a booth right out of their vehicle! Remember, safety first! Keep girls away from moving vehicles and stay a safe distance away while attending a customer.

Cookie House Parties are still encouraged for friends and families!

Rolling cookie booths work very much like Cookies on the Go weekend! Parents and girls can alert neighbors they will have a rolling cookie booth on a certain day and roam the streets like an ice cream truck! Play music, decorate the vehicle, and let others know you’re there to bring them delicious treats right to their driveway!

Did you know you can work a GrubHub booth at your local council office? In Birmingham, Florence, Huntsville, and Tuscaloosa, the GSNCA offices will be offering a booth so girls can experience a whole new level of business skills! For Girl and Volunteer Training CLICK HERE
