Trefoil Tidbits

2021 Cookie Program

December 2, 2020

·         The 2021 Cookie Program starts Friday, December 11, 2020

·         Ensure you have a Parent Permission for EVERY girl on your troop roster that is participating in the program!

·         COVID-19 Precautions:

o   Wash hands often.

o   Use hand sanitizer.

o   Wear a mask.

o   Practice social distancing

·         Look for information concerning Door Hangers soon!

·         You can log into GSLearn to review the training modules at any time during the program:

o   GSLearn is located in the same area as the Volunteer Toolkit and MyGS after logging in at www.girlscoutsnca.org

·         If you can’t locate the eBudde welcome email but think you should be able to log in:

o   Volunteers will receive eBudde access December 1

o   Go to ebudde.littlebrownie.com

o   Click “Forgot your Password”

o   If your email address is not recognized or you only see 2019-2020, you are not uploaded to eBudde yet. Please send an email to aconger@girlscoutsnca.org or sstutsman@girlscoutsnca.org to find out what you are missing.

·         A girl is not showing in eBudde/eBudde Demo:

o   Check the troop roster (troop leaders have access in MyGS) to confirm she is registered for your troop. Our system is being upgraded and will be available December 8

§  She is: Send an email to sstutsman@girlscoutsnca.org with the girl’s name and troop number to get her added.

§  She’s not: Contact her parents and ensure she registers before participating in the cookie program.

·         A girl who is inactive in your troop is showing in eBudde:

o   Per Girl Average bonus IS NOT affected if she stays at zero packages sold

o   Participation bonus IS affected – must have 90% of girls participate to earn an extra $0.01 per package sold

o   Send a list of inactive girls to your Membership Manager (contact your SUCM/SUM if you are not sure who that is)

o   The Membership Manager will contact the parents to confirm she is inactive.

·         Digital Cookie Troop Link Information:

o   Digital Cookie has now changed their troop link process to offer Girl Delivery with the Cookie Finder Troop Link

o   Our TCMs will only need to create and monitor ONE Troop Link!

o   TCMs will see one girl who is not registered in the troop in the Girls tab of eBudde

o   The Cookie Finder Troop Link Digital Cookie storefront will need to be setup so the troop appears in the Cookie Finder on GSUSA’s national platforms

o   Girl delivery will be possible after Initial Order; however, when girl delivery is on, the Troop Link will not be visible on the Cookie Finder

o   To offer girl delivery, the Troop Site Lead will need to change the option in Digital Cookie for the Troop Link.

o   After the troop event/activity that requires girl delivery to be offered, the Troop Site Lead will need to turn girl delivery back off in order for the Troop Link to show in Cookie Finder again

o   If you need help, email sstutsman@girlscoutsnca.org

 ·         How to setup Digital Cookie Troop Link profiles:

o   As TCM, when you login to Digital Cookie for the first time, you will need to select who the Troop Site Lead will be for the troop. This can be changed as often as needed throughout the program.

o   To begin, click the “Start” button.

o   You will be asked to enter a zip code for your troop. Enter one that is representative of the majority of the girls in your troop.

o   You will also select a name from the drop down of one of the volunteers from the troop to serve in the role of “Troop Site Lead”. The Troop Site Lead will be responsible for working with the girls in the troop to set up their site.

o   The Volunteer designated as the Troop Site Lead can login to Digital Cookie and select the “parent” role.

o   At that point, she will be able to select the Troop as one of her Girl Scouts from the drop down at the top of her page.

o   She will need to complete the registration process as if the troop were a new girl by signing the Terms & Conditions statements and Girl Pledge, plus registering her name. It is important to leave the Preferred First Name as it appears so that your Troop URL is correct. If there is an issue with the troop number, please contact your Council Customer Care to resolve before proceeding.

o   After that, the Troop Site Lead will use the “Site Setup” to work with the girls in the troop to create their message and photo/video.

o   Once the site is published and the Cookie Program is live, the troop’s link is available and will appear on the Cookie Finder beginning February 1.

o   If you need help, email sstutsman@girlscoutsnca.org
